Terrible terrible damage...
Last night marked one of the worst chain nightmares I ever had. and that was only after I managed to shake and cough my sad way to sleep after tossing and turning for hours. As if being sick from the fluctuating 'spring' wasn't enough.
So, first things first. Australia is being hit by a major weather whirlpool. Its spring as it is now, the flowers are out and blooming, insects are buzzing around annoying everyone, the sun is shining warm and sunny, and then the downpour came.
So much for spring. Heh.
The rain wasn't bad, but it did bring a bunch of other creepy crawlies that try to make their way indoors safe and warm and to share a room with me or the rest of my housemates. Caught this guy trying to find somewhere warmer and drier in my room.
Not much else to say. I enjoyed a medley of new and old nightmares back to back in my troubled sleep. Sleeping has never been so much more scary. Next thing you know I'm gonna start having Freddy Krueger in my dreams. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
That's bout it. Keep warm peeps and don't let the weather beat you down! Exams are right round that corner!

Stealer of cheap laptops
This is a public outcry at the injustice and immoral deeds of a certain someone or somebodies. You bastards, you actually DIDN'T have the heart, to do the unthinkable, the unspeakable, the UNHEARABLE ACT OF:
Stealing my two fan cheong friends' laptops.
I mean, cmon...
If you wanna steal laptops at least steal high end laptops. Why steal normal, average Dell laptops? AND IN BROAD DAYLIGHT TOO.
IN MONASH MALAYSIA LIBRARY TOO.
WTF WTF WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?!
I won't curse you guys cuz my two lovely fan cheong friends have and probably are still cursing you/you people. So I'll just say that God have mercy on your soul for what you did that day.... was.... so wrong :(

How To Train Your Dragon
Just watched the show last week, and I gotta say... I don't hate it at all.
In fact, I like it. I like it very much. I LOVE IT.
The soundtracks, the animation, even the storyline. Its all wonderful. The hero, even the dragon are all amazing. Here is the one soundtrack that basically sums the whole movie up. It is one of the best soundtracks of the show too.
What do you have to say about that, you blog spammers, hmm?

Pain of Anguish
That's actually the name of a level of a game that I once played on my ps2. Seems like years ago. Which it kinda is.
Stabbing shadows in the dark,
frustration at my ineptitude.
Common sense is like the undead,
wandering the living like a monster.
But why? But how?
So many questions.
Which answer do you seek?
I search the what and how,
you search the why.
Stumbling over narrow minded precipices,
sometimes what is unclear is what you're looking for.
Find my reason, find my self.
Rejoice at the old and new, celebrate!
Celebrate, I say.
Give thanks and praise to what you own.
Give thanks and praise for what you sow.
Life's a bitch, we've all heard that before.
Life's also beautiful, but we've heard that also.
Life isn't beginning and end,
life isn't the in-between either.
Tis a journey we go round and round,
can I accept what is beyond comprehension?

And one more semi annual period passes...
Since when was it August? Huh? HUH?
ITS AUGUST NOW?!?!
Well on that note, new sem has started. I'm 12k poorer (again, stupid expensive fees), my job's still the same, I've got pigeons cooing in the ceiling above me every few hours or so, my new house is awesome though my room is said to be slightly boring and a bunch of friends have moved closer to either Melbourne or Caulfield.
Yippee.
So let's start this new half year by saying I DID BETTER FOR MY RESULTS THIS TIME, meaning I didn't fail anything this time, phew. Never knew you had to face so many urgent matters when living by yourself.
To that, cheers and happy new half year.

Resident : Evil
I have no idea when I became such a Resident Evil fan, must be because I played too many of the game series. It was our oldest, most classic and original horror survival game genre franchise =)
Anyways,
for our chatbox convenience and consideration,
I leave a big space.... and...
There we go.
Looks very, VERY Matrix ish, but on the bright side we get to see a bunch of familiar characters tee hee! Interesting that this movie actually stemmed from video games instead of the classic book-turn-movie types like HP and the Twi-blight series.
So, to close it all off,
DIE WESKER, DIE.
Die, but make sure you die hard and leave some epic last words quote for us.

Freedom
Damn I miss that feeling. The feeling of walking out of the exam hall and knowing YOU DON'T HAVE TO PICK UP A BOOK OR NOTES until next sem.
WOOT.
Sorry Thomas.
Now, on to finding a new place to stay and settling down.

Emo
No it's not Elmo, it's emo.
After reading a few ranting posts of Thomas' blog, I feel the need to likewise express my thoughts on some SUPER COMMON misconceptions and misunderstanding of the word emo.
Emo is not a mood or a temporary attitude of a person, contrary to many people's beliefs. Us Asians tend to immediately link a person who is suddenly and inexplicably quiet, reserved or has some other withdrawn, sullen demeanour. What will we say?
Eh. Why're you emo-ing?
Or we could talk behind his/her back and say Why's he/she emo-ing?
Emo doesn't necessarily mean a short form of the word emotional. Emo is ACTUALLY:
- A style of rock music typically characterized by melodic musicianship and expressive, often confessional lyrics. - Wikipedia
- A genre of softcore punk music that integrates unenthusiastic melodramatic 17 year olds who dont smile, high pitched overwrought lyrics and inaudible guitar rifts with tight wool sweaters, tighter jeans, itchy scarfs (even in the summer), ripped chucks with favorite bands signature, black square rimmed glasses, and ebony greasy unwashed hair that is required to cover at least 3/5 ths of the face at an angle. - Urban Dictionary
- A culture or music style somewhat similar to Goth people. - Own definition ^^
Please do not wrongly use 'emo' to describe people, cuz 'emo' is a vast culture from the US. You haven't seen 'an' emo yet. So please, do not label people who are suddenly quiet, fuming inside, sullen, sulking etc, AS AN EMO.
We humans have emotions, obviously. Being emotional is what makes us human. So to call a certain person 'emo' is kinda weird isn't it? We all have emotions, so why state the obvious? I do not know who invented the mindset of emo in our country but I AM GROWING TIRED of being called AND seeing people getting called emo just because they are playing moving, emotional music on the piano? Listening to emotional music? Sulking? Suddenly quiet because of some internal disagreement?
Enough. I am not emo. We are not emo. Emo does not exist in our country.
Yet.
But you argue, then how about all those emo music? people moping around emo-ing cuz of their bf/gf?
Let me ask you, are all music composers who make music emo? Obviously don't look at mainstream etc. Are all instrumental music emo?
IS YIRUMA EMO?
Suck on that for a while. We are not emo. Distinguish sulking vs emo vs passionate please.
THIS IS EMO:
Still not convinced? Go and Google the three letters emo. I dare you to.
p.s. Just a random rant, to get some exam stress out ^^

Time goes by... So soon.
Holy crap. I've hardly noticed that I've had this blog for years! Nearly 5 years now! Although I don't blog much like you, Thomas or other people who have more interesting lives, it is oddly satisfying seeing that this blog has been around for some time.
Now that's what I call dedication. Other like-minded bloggers have probably killed their blogs ages ago when writing or inspiration doesn't come by. (cough cough) I definitely don't visit my own blog for ages some times but it sure feels good to have you still standing. =)
Special thanks goes out to my lil sis; sibling to a proud brother, and good ol Thomas, friend to a friend, for giving me inspiration, competition, and something to blog about HAHA. Love ya guys, all of you.
If you've still been visiting this blog from time to time, my heartfelt thanks to you guys, you make blogging so worth it. Cheers!

So Race Is....
Man.... Just when I thought he'd left for good the bugger comes back. Remember that ex housemate of mine? The oddball Viet dude?
Guess who's back.
Back again.
He-He's back.
Run to the end!
And the first thing I asked him was
Hey hi how're you?
Good. Andh hyu?
I'm good. Thanks.
Nuh I don't think so.
What?
Your face. Its been better.
*permastun*
He's probably referring to my volcanic face. Meh. FML

One flawless flaw
Finally realised one of my main shortcomings.
I am sensitive to insensitivity during sensitive times. Which is exactly why i am insensitive after that. Can u say insensitive to insensitivity???

Chinese New Year with Wilson and Jocelyn
Happy Chinese New Year!!!!!!!!
Although Melbourne does not celebrate the Lunar New Year like a proper festival, lots of us Asians here do. and how else to spend it here away from home so far from our families, if not with our friends??
so, welcome to Melbourne Jocelyn! me and Wilson brought her out to the city after a hard day's work of SETTLING DOWN. haha. Shanghai dumplings in Chinatown on CNY eve. awesome no?
then the usual after that. the walk around and let the bla bla digest la.
we detoured all the way to the Yarra river side.

Year seven and growing up
Year seven. Back home in Malaysia that's the equivalent of Form One. The start of high school/secondary school. And what a surprise i had with a bunch of year seven students.
was on the train heading to the city and these 4 year 7 students, couldn't be older than 13 or 14 and just starting high school, were talking about very serious stuff like religion and tired old ladies and making sure to check their seats before leaving the train. i was rather impressed and scared at the same time.
it'd be pretty hard to find kids our age doing that kinda thing back home. or maybe i was just a slow bloomer? haha. Seriously, they were discussing the differences between Catholics and other Christine doctrines and taking Holy Communion and how old people who talk too much can get on your nerves and they even responded to a semi-drunk man on the train a few seats away. well here in Australia most of the kids and students start riding the train and going to school on their own starting from a very young age. its daunting to me.
and not to mention nostalgic.
if i had stayed there, and didn't return instead, i would've been brought up just like these Aussie children. i would probably learn a lot of things earlier than expected and taught to play sports and hold my own starting from very young. shows just how screwed up my life was.
wishing all young children of Australia a happy life and continue learning stuff at those stunning ages.

Bak Choy and More Hobos
More attacks from hobos. I'm just walking through the supermarket and she has to ask me to screw myself after i ignore her by walking past her. sigh~ its a sad mixture of pity and repulse that i have for them.
on a happier note, i made my best bak choy dish ever last night, along with some fried chicken. can't remember when was the last time i enjoyed my food, ever. mmmm~

HOBO
Homeless people. Everywhere in almost every country. Even here, on train platforms.
Just this evening i was on my way home from Caleb's place. and who should show up on the busy platform but a 'homeless' (im amusing) person harassing everybody.
not just any hobo, but a hobo with THE look. THE ultimate look that no hobo asking for help/money should give.
Its.
The.
I'm so sick of this world and you people-look.
Ain't ever seen a glare like hers hahaha. yes a HER. a female hobo. lol. that sounds like a joke by itself, im so bad tee hee~
The she-hobo: "Hey you, can you spare me some change?"
Scared Korean chick: "......"
The she-hobo: "Can you speak?" <---(Seriously, i could smell the sarcasm dripping...)
Scared Korean chick: *mumbling*
The she-hobo: "Good."
The she-hobo: "And you, can you spare me some change?"
Me: "Sorry, no."
The she-hobo: *scoffs* "Whatever." *walks off*
Scuse me? Whatever? WHATEVER?
Is that the attitude you should use with ur potential donaters? Hmm?? Is it cuz i'm not a local or what? And, i also happened to have kindly donated before. Assuming u guys are all a collective or something.
Ffs... Cynical hobos. Can my train rides home get any more interestin?

2000 and TEN
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010!!!!!!!!!
Wishing you all a very happy and prosperous new year this year. As for me, I had the most entertaining dinner in a Japanese restaurant on New Year's Eve, then headed to the Etihad Stadium near the Southern Cross station.
It was AWESHUM.
They were holding some kinda party in the stadium where you had to wear white to get in. So we were standing there staying outta the rain near the entrance watching all kinds of 'white' people go in. There were definitely internationals around in the crowd, but the fact that they were all wearing white made them blend in perfectly you could hardly tell apart anyone.
People in white wearing singlets, angel wings, crowns, boots, stockings and various other types of dressings. There were people who put on silver and the funniest thing was that in our group there were the two girls wearing BLACK.
kinda funny.
Other interesting exhibits included a somebody in an Imperial Stormtrooper makeshift costume, another somebody in a gauze bandaged mummy outfit, other semi-nekkid or 3 quarter-ed nekkid people running all around in the wet New Year's Eve.
Phew, what a rain!
We even saw some drug person getting arrested by the police who were vastly outnumbered, but still held an imposing presence. They had sniffer dogs posted around too, checking ur crotch for any hidden powders. lol.
AFTER THAAAAAAAAAATTTTTT,
we headed to Flinders St.
Which.
was.
PACKED.
its to be expected but still it was a very enjoyable experience, getting squashed against the train doors, fighting for air to breathe, room to cover ur vital parts, scolding assholes who were smoking weed in the train, making way for distraught couples who got raped, molested, assaulted, etc.
At the Federation Square they were holding some kinda aboriginal performance in the stadium. After that they had the countdown (naturally) and fireworks (again, naturally). too bad the whole area around and in Flinders was packed to bursting. So we could only see the fireworks shooting up but couldnt see em exploding in the wet night sky.
NOOOOOOO.
after that it became something of a riot as people rushed backed to the trains to head back home quick before the havoc really started like people screaming themselves hoarse over a happy new year and people rioting just cuz its..... new year? haha.
here're some of the pics and vids of the memorable last night of 2009.
