Blood donation!

well what do u know, the first picture-related post since so many months ago. monash had a blood donation drive since day before, so i decided to spare a few of my precious red blood cells for em haha.

grip!! cuz ur life depends on it....

whoa.... look at all the tubes...

YEOW!!

YEOW!!!!!!!

they prick ur finger tip for blood testing

after

that sure is bloody, all 450 ml of it.

where they test ur blood type

what's left of the drug abuse haha.

my freaked out friend zi yan, doing this for the first time.. he's the dude on the right looking like he passed away

where they dump all ur tubes and bloody mess

whoo hoo!! look at all that bloody goodness.. luckily no mosquitoes...

slosh.... lol

that's where they collect the blood samples and donations.

ok, THAT'S IT!! I DONT CARE WHAT I AGREED TO EARLIER, BUT IM NOT GIVING U ALL MY BALLS!

and that's that. my second time donating blood, forgot to bring the lil red book where they record ur donations and procedure. need iron now..... gasp gasp..... i'm anemic now... help...

after that all, i went for a blood TEST, not donation with zi yan. the stupid queue was so long and they were taking so long just to test ur blood per person. i waited half an hour before getting to go to the mobile bus where they do all the testing. first u piss into a container then they test ur urine for anomalies. i was fine for all, glucose levels, sugar levels... bla bla.... pity the officer checking so many people's piss. u rock!!

then after that they prick ur finger, again, and they'll measure ur waist length, weight, bmi and all the usual stuff u get. then they council u on how to continue from there. exercise more bla bla.... put on 2 kg.... ur slightly diabetic.... wow u've got a high level of cholesterol!! stuff like that. can u believe it i've got low cholesterol levels. =.=' after all that fried food and seafood?? no way man!! where'd it all go??? lol.

so for those people out there who haven't donated blood be4.... try.. try try.... it'll help u get over ur needle phobia... err what'd u call it? oh its called belonephobia.haha. is it pronounced balloon phobia? or what?? belona? haha

cheers to all of u. and to u all who's grieving, my condolences. and to those who're leaving, all the best, bring me a souvenir when u get back. wahaha.

Casserole

No, not the plate or the dish used to make food, but the actual food casserole. yup. made some yesterday with my mom, so it doesn't count as me cooking. yet. but not bad actually. and its quite easy, if not large to cook. for those of u budding cooks out there, this is a great dish to try, if u dont mind tuna and ur not lactose intolerant.

first, cook some pasta, perferably macarroni (or is it macaronni???) in a pot. while you're doing that, (it's bound to take a while, that's a lot of water to boil) chop some celery, grate some carrots, dice some onions and open two tins of ayam brand tuna in water and a can of campbell's mushroom soup. then uh how'd it go again??

oh yeah, dump some butter into a kuali or a wok, heat it over a medium fire. then dump all your onions and celery and carrots in, make sure to keep flipping it or it will burn! then dump in more butter and the soup and tuna, make sure it is very slightly watery, like uh like pancakes before they're done. rofl.

then add some mixed spices in, you can get them anywhere but if you're lazy just dump in some (note the following:) oregano, basil, pepper, and any other spice that you think'll go with it. haha.

finally ladle out your wet pasta and WHOO HOOO!!! DUMP IT ALL IN UR WOK!! YEA BABY!! LOOK AT THAT THING, IT'S OVERFLOWING!! mix well and stir well, make sure the mix is even and not burnt anywhere, and make sure nothing spills over. obviously.

finally. when it smells really tempting and the soup looks like it's gonna get burnt (wattaguan?!!) scoop it all out into some heat proof bowls or serving trays and bake in oven for 40-50 mins. (what??? still bake after all that frying?? yea i thought so too.)

the end product should be something like dried lasagna minus the layers and cheese. oh yea i forgot add some cheese in before u dump it in the oven. cheers and enjoy!! if u dare to follow what i said above. wahhahahaaah. but it was good. :P
