was on the train heading to the city and these 4 year 7 students, couldn't be older than 13 or 14 and just starting high school, were talking about very serious stuff like religion and tired old ladies and making sure to check their seats before leaving the train. i was rather impressed and scared at the same time.
it'd be pretty hard to find kids our age doing that kinda thing back home. or maybe i was just a slow bloomer? haha. Seriously, they were discussing the differences between Catholics and other Christine doctrines and taking Holy Communion and how old people who talk too much can get on your nerves and they even responded to a semi-drunk man on the train a few seats away. well here in Australia most of the kids and students start riding the train and going to school on their own starting from a very young age. its daunting to me.
and not to mention nostalgic.
if i had stayed there, and didn't return instead, i would've been brought up just like these Aussie children. i would probably learn a lot of things earlier than expected and taught to play sports and hold my own starting from very young. shows just how screwed up my life was.
wishing all young children of Australia a happy life and continue learning stuff at those stunning ages.
