last night on the train back from sj's place, this heated couple were shouting and swearing to each other in classic Aussie style:

Girl: Don't you evah, Evah, EVAH, ask me to do that again for you. bla bla bla drugs at home. keep doing that and people are gonna lose respect for you, asshole.

and then after a few minutes of silence the girl went and hugged the guy who look bored and uncaring then started begging for money. LOL. i gave her 50 pence for a good entertainment performance. although she said she needed the money for a taxi. when we're already on a train. loser. xD

New life, new start

FIRST lecture today, whee. my data analysis lecture talked really interestingly, kinda with a russian accent or something. still halfway in holiday mode, so really blur finding classes and lectures and sorting out stuff. and bloody hell, they dont give u any free credit in ur library card!! (?!?!!@#$%^&) lol.

Orientation?

skipped monday's orientation, went for today's orientation. met lots of interesting ppl there. there was a guy named Thai who was from Vietnam (???), a girl who was a Buddhist but wore a cross (??????), lots of ppl from singapore and msia and lots of other ang mos. there were even some ppl from Latvia and France and Sri Lanka and bla bla bla other countries. made a few new friends, hope they're not the type that u only know during the first few days of orientation....

finally got my house. haven't finalized it yet but gonna sign the lease soon, once i double check everything and i've got the cash in my account. hehe feels so good saying that. then i can stop troubling shyan jen and lance. haven't met kar mern or jonathan yet, will see them later this week hopefully.

Some somebodys are missing me...

well, been nearly a week i've been here. living in australia is very diff, and im not only talking about the weather. the weather is actually an improvement. nice and cold, chilly at night and in the morns. afternoon its actually comfortable.

shyan jen's been a jam. living at his place is great, since he takes good care of me and brings me out a lot to eat and meet friends. cooking is a whole nother tricky business. hehe. these guys hardly eat at home and mostly go out nearby or to the city to eat.... none other than.... asian food. lol. i've been eating a lot of subway too.

finding a place to live is even tougher, since ur actually interested in finding a room and accomodation for yourself, which means u have to consider so much stuff like bedding, transportation, convenience stores close by, distance to uni, ease of transport, utility bills and such. so far no luck and i must have trekked halfway all over melbourne by now, at the rate i'm walking to inspect houses.

wilson and michael have found their acc now, lucky them. kar mern was even luckier and got a decent place to stay. she arrived slightly earlier than me, probably 1 or 2 days. drastic measures have to be taken, therefore tomo i'm either gonna do my last house scouting, or get stuck with the uh tiny room above the store in renovation. lol. love u all who love me all too. and even if u dont love me i still love u all and miss u all. what the heck am i writing. the chill must be affecting my typing.

Ironic that the latest post has to be done right before i'm leaving for australia. yep you heard it right. you either know or dont know. i'm leaving for Australia tomo, 4th of July, US hari merdeka. funny.

feel both excited and nervous. cuz there's so much new things to experience, to do yourself, learning to be independent etc. and all the last minute packing isn't like going nearby for a holiday either. this is practically gonna be my survival luggage for a couple of years. haha.

went through a huge 'last time i'll do this' phase these last few days. went to a mamak for the last time, had a shit in my toilet for the last time, last night for the last time, went online at home for the last time, went out with my friends for the last time. sigh. what to do. what the heck. i'm even blogging at home for the last time. am i all set for Australia? dunno.

think i'm all set. got loads of new stuff. and old stuff. winter wear. laptop. clothing. books. documents. visa. bla bla. the next time i return to my blog i'll be in foreign territory wearing foreign clothing in a foreign house or apartment getting chilled in a foreign weather. gonna miss you all. you guys were all the best. all of you. =) sucks that i can't go to the langkawi trip. sucks that Thomas is coming back at the exact same time i'm going there. sucks that i couldn't do more for Sam and Nick be4 leaving. sucks that farewell had to be agonizing. sucks that all i gave Mel was that.

thank you for the memories and the times we had. here we go. a new step in a new direction.
