today went to monash to pick up nina. and since i arrived early i thought i could wait it out till the end of her paper. so i turned off the car engine and waited until i cannot tahan anymore (must be environmentally friendly!) i parked the car at the drop off point and decided to walk in and wait for her at a cooler place. but then the guard who normally stands duty there puts up this meaty hand in my face and says "no sorry u cannot leave an unattended car here. u can wait here in the car for 1,2 hours, can but no people no car sorry."
?!
since when was that rule around??? people used to park there all the time for quick occasions and even some daring ones parked there the whole day. so now i had to wait outside instead with the car. stupid betul. guards are an important element of our safety and they do their job well. but sometimes.... they're just plain annoying with their:
" hostel id pls??"
"eh? where u trying to go?"
"no cannot pass here"
"boy? what u doing here?"
"Boy? No. i said no. No. ok? no. sorry but no. what? ha? oh oh sorry."
but its true also, we've gotta give them some respect that they deserve.
